Salford Lib Dems Form Their First Council Group Since 2008 in Dramatic Shake-up For Salford Council

We are excited to share that we have formed an administrative alliance with Independent Cllr Walters for in the council chamber only, I will continue to be the leader of the Liberal Democrats with Cllr Moore as the Lib Dem cllr for the Quays. The attached MEN article cover this in more detail.

The alliance with Cllr Walters will help us scrutinize the council and help us to better lobby for the interests of residents of the Quays, Media City & Ordsall Lane.

Some of the potential benefits include;

Chairmanship or Deputy Chairmanship of a Scrutiny Committee • An additional space on the Overview and Scrutiny Board • Spaces on the Constitution Review Group • Spaces on the Agenda Setting Committee • Meetings with the City Mayor and Chief Executive • Access to Confidential Briefings • Extra Committee positions (such as GM committees).
