Cllr Moore Makes His Mark In The Council Chamber
Cllr Moore making his maiden speech in the chamber this week, we couldn't be prouder!
Cllr Moore hit the ground running by tabling an amendment to a Conservative motion about the Salford Red’s rugby stadium. The original motion seemed somewhat contradictory, so I sought to strip it back to a more pragmatic process-orientated approach that could have lowered the political temperature.
The motion didn’t carry, but it gave me an opportunity to demonstrate that Salford Lib Dems will speak on matters across the whole of Salford, and that we will bring a pragmatic approach which focusses on what works and what is best for residents.
Cllr Moore said, " Today was the first normal full council meeting since I was elected, and I hit the ground running by tabling an amendment to a Conservative motion about the Salford Red’s rugby stadium.
It also signals my intention to be a regular contributor to debates, as I seek to maximise my representation of you, the electorate."
There is plenty more to come in the chamber from Cllr Moore!
